It’s 8:30 on a Saturday night and I am lost.  Figuratively speaking.  Mr. O is on a camping trip with the guys and Little Bear is snug in her bed.  I don’t know what to do with myself.  Any other time I would just see this as prime opportunity to soak in a nice relaxing bath.  But shoot…I’ve already done that too!  *sigh*

I guess I could always get a good night’s sleep.  But that’s so boring. HAHA!  Not that I couldn’t use the rest after the week I’ve had.  (BTW, sorry about being MIA this week.  I promise some nice goodies this coming week.)  With Halloween falling on a Friday, being sick (and completely useless because of it), Little Bear having school all day (still getting used to that) and her extra curriculars, I’ve been a mad woman.  So yeah, you could see why sleep might be the optimal choice for tonight.

But again, that’s boring and I would feel like I got nothing accomplished.  I mean, I feel like I should at least catch up on some junk TV or something.  So, I sit here scrolling through NETFLIX and HBOgo to find something worthy of a night like tonight: a night of relaxation, boredom, and confusion.  My usual TV picks are movies that I like to watch or want to watch that Mr. O doesn’t really enjoy, or just won’t watch.  You know what I’m talking about, the chick flicks, old time movies, or junk TV shows.  There are plenty of choices available, but I’m just so torn.  And now that I think about it, I didn’t get to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show one time in October.  I’m shocked HBO or NETFLIX hasn’t had it available.  It is a classic after all!  *sigh*  Sorry.  I digress.

*Think. Think. Think.*

Hmmm…I guess junk TV it is!  NETFLIX just posted season 2 of The Carrie Diaries so I have been itching for a chance to start on it.  It’s one of my guilty pleasures.  Complete junk and non informative and probably not what a late 20-something ought to be watching.  But hey, I’m the only one watching so it doesn’t really matter.  YAY!  Tonight’s crisis averted.  Oh wait.  Now I’ll be up all night glued to the tube.  ugh!  Oh well.

On a lighter note.  With Mr. O out of town, Little Bear and I had some Mommy & Me time.  It was nice.  We woke up late, 8:00am, (…that’s late for us anymore.  Sad, I know.) then had what was left of the donut holes I made at crack-thirty this morning for the men and their camping trip.  (Yes, I got up at 5am, baked, then crawled back in the bed.)

After some house cleaning we headed out for the afternoon.  We decided on pottery painting.  I loved it!  Even my OCD side stayed hush long enough to enjoy the time with Little Bear.

Pottery PaintingLook at her.  Isn’t she cute?  Super concentrated and trying to be patient.  I think it took us 2 hours to complete our pieces but it was all good.  Then, since it was a nice 70-something degree day, we decided to walk over to Starbucks when we finished. The absolute best treat for a Mommy & Me outing.

So anyway, I had a great day with Little Bear that lead up to a potentially problematic boring night.  But I dare say, it was a successful day…and night.

Until next week…
